José J. Riera José has over 10 years of experience in providing financial solutions to low-to-moderate-income Hispanic communities in the U.S. Prior to founding Bergerac Investments, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Popular Cash Express, a financial services retail network of over 150 financial service centers and 60 mobile units throughout the U.S. He has also held brand management positions at Microsoft and Procter & Gamble. José earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Georgetown University and an MBA in Insurance & Risk Management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He holds board positions in Bergerac Investments' affiliated companies including Papa Cash, NRG and Continental Risk Insurance. Mari Tere Olazagasti Mari Tere provides creative and marketing support to Bergerac Investments. Prior to joining Bergerac Investments, she was Assistant Vice President of Creative Services for Banco Popular. During her eight years there, Mari Tere designed and implemented several communication initiatives for the over 3,000 employees in New York, Illinois, California, New Jersey, Florida and Texas. Furthermore, Mari Tere’s communication strategies facilitated the incorporation of newly acquired banks to the Popular family. She also provided creative and graphic support to various departments of the bank. Mari Tere holds a Master of Fine Arts in Computer Art from the School of Visual Arts in New York and a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from the Universidad Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Mari Tere has actively participated in several campaigns including the March of Dimes, the Breast Cancer Walk, the AIDS Walk, Christmas in April and several toy drives for disadvantaged children.
Lola Miranda Lola supervises all financial and administrative matters for Bergerac Investments and its real estate holdings. Before joining Bergerac Investments, she was Assistant Comptroller at MeriStar Hospitality Corporation, where she was responsible for all accounting duties for the Radisson Hotel in Chicago. Lola is a licensed CPA and a seasoned real estate broker with experience in New Jersey and Florida. Lola has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration & Accounting from the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Lola has been a volunteer at the Philadelphia's Friends' Neighborhood Guild and of the Citizens' Review Panel of Orange County, Florida.
Julio De Puigdorfila Julio has almost a decade of experience in financial services and wealth management. Before joining Bergerac Investments, he worked at Banco Popular¹s private banking division where he managed a portfolio of high net worth clients. As a financial analyst in the bank¹s Strategic Planning division, he conducted project viability studies and financial analysis of potential business initiatives. He completed his Juris Doctor from the Interamerican University Law School in 2006 and specializes in real estate-related legal matters. Julio earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Massachusetts and a Juris Doctor from the Interamerican University Law School in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Julio has occupied leadership positions at Habitat for Humanity. He served as team leader of its Villa Habitat project in the Cantera Peninsula. He also served in the Board of Directors of the Santurce Rotary Club, where he directed a Community Library and Volunteer Tutoring Programs.
